Mindy and Rick had the best weather for their August Dellwood Country Club wedding! One of my favorite things about Mindy is how relaxed yet excited she was on her wedding day! Understandably, many brides are pretty stressed out the morning of their wedding. However, Mindy was able to be so present, gracious and calm. She was just so excited to enjoy every moment of their day!
At their engagement session this past spring we got to know each other a little more. That’s one of the best parts about your engagement session! Rick and Mindy showed off what naturals they are in front of the camera! Their wedding day was no different. Their couple portraits are some of my favorites from this year. Rick’s blue suit really popped off the glowy green background, and their love and excitement just shines through the photos! They chose a bridal party comprised mostly of family, and they were such a fun group.
After their perfect Dellwood Country Club wedding, Rick and Mindy got to enjoy a gorgeous golden hour on the golf course of Dellwood. This part of the day is usually my favorite. I get to pull the bride and groom away from their reception in order to enjoy 15-20 minutes together to soak up the last moments of sunset on their wedding day. We don’t overdo it on posing. I really just let them be together, celebrate being married, and capture movement when we’re no longer worried about getting the dress dirty! For Mindy and Rick’s golden hour photos, we also got to play with her veil! I always always recommend my brides get a veil. It’s the only day in your life that you will have a chance to wear one. Plus, we can create some really romantic images with it!
I am so grateful to know you two, and wishing you all the best as your build your life together!
