The unknowns of pregnancy and birth are over. You are finally able to hold your sweet baby in your arms and breathe in their newborn smell, and treasure all their little features. You’re in the most sacred season of your lives, with probably the most intense joy (and exhaustion) you’ve ever experienced. Let's capture these moments of togetherness for you to treasure for years to come.
"Having two older children, this was not my first time hiring someone for newborn photos but I can confidently say I’ve finally found a photographer I’d like to use for life. Not only did our photos turn out absolutely stunning, but she managed to capture photos of our entire family when I was certain we wouldn’t have any useable ones (because toddlers!). Natalie was SO sweet to our daughters and made us all feel extremely comfortable - she is as joyful as her photos are. I really can’t say enough positive things about Natalie and her work. Do yourself a favor and book Natalie!" - Kate P.

My photography style is simple & natural, no complex baby poses or perfect studio light needed. The organic feeling of simply being together is magic enough! I guide you every step of the way, so you don't need to worry about wondering where to take photos or how to hold baby. Your newborn session will include naturally posed photos of just baby, candid moments with parents, siblings and fur babies, and of course some classic posed, smiling photos for baby announcements and to hang on your walls.
After your session, you will receive your full gallery of edited images within 3 weeks. From there, you can easily download, share and print to your heart's delight. Your gallery is connected to a professional print shop that you can order directly to your doorstep. Prepare to fill your walls 😍

Once baby arrives, we will adjust your session date if needed. Then, it's time for the fun! I will come to your home mid morning with my camera, a little treat for you, and a whole lotta love. I can't wait to document this precious time for you. Your only job is to spend your session being fully present with your baby, soaking up their features and their little personality. Let me worry about the rest!
It was such a joy to work with Natalie for our newborn photos! She perfectly captured our family and made us feel at ease through all the chaos that a newborn (and high energy pup!) can bring during a photography session. We highly recommend Natalie and look forward to working with her again in the future! - Amelia

Having plenty of indirect, natural light in your home is key for achieving images that match my style and work that you see above. If you are concerned about the about of light in your home, or simply prefer not to worry about picking up for photos during the newborn haze, I have a few studios around the Twin Cities that I can share with you for an additional rental fee.

My personal favorites are simple and neutral colors and tones; textures such as knits and linen always look great too. Whites, creams, greys, blushes and other light tones that complement baby's skin are a great option. These simple tones put the focus on the connection and emotion, and give a timeless look. Small patterns for girls or moms look beautiful in photos. Dresses or loose tops are often most comfortable for mamas in the weeks following birth.

I bring a simple, neutral wrap for us to use. You are also welcome to set aside a few outfits or wraps that you would like to incorporate! Neutrals are always best, to complement baby's skin tone + allow the focus to be on their features and your connection.
