Kirsten and Brian wanted their A’BULAE wedding day to feel timeless and classic. They describe themselves as old souls and they wanted their wedding day to feel a little more “old school” and simple and clean. They had a Frank Sinatra themed cocktail hour and the bridal party was in all black, with bright colorful bouquets as a pop of color! Something I really loved about their day was how much emotion was shown. The love between them is so evident. There were tears all day, from Kirsten’s first look with her dad, to Kirsten walking down the aisle, to speeches, to reading handwritten letters to each other during their golden hour photos! Everything was so heartfelt!
We began the day in St. Paul, getting ready at their venue, A’BULAE. Kirsten and Brian had their first look on the rooftop! Then, we hopped on the shuttle and headed to James J. Hill Center for some classic portraits! The timeless stone was a gorgeous backdrop for their black attire and colorful flowers. Then, we headed to their ceremony at St. Thomas Academy. Kirsten and Brian chose to have their ceremony at the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas, a stunning Catholic chapel in St. Paul. After the officiant announced the couple and they had their first kiss, Kirsten and Brian’s guests gathered outside the church with bubbles and celebrated them as they departed from the church doors! It was a truly special, “rom-com” moment!
Finally, we returned to A’BULAE for their cocktail hour and reception! After dinner, we went to the rooftop for sparkler photos and took some “just married” golden hour portraits! Kirsten and Brian spent the rest of the night dancing and partying with their guests and the Johnny Holm Band!
