Newborn Photography St Paul MN

filed in

Oh how I love newborn photography, especially in-home newborn sessions! It’s extra special to document your growing family within the walls that you make all your memories. For this St Paul, MN newborn photography session, I spent a rainy morning in Chet & Nicole’s cozy refinished home.

I started by getting some individual photos of Baby Theo while his older brother Asher was playing! Theo had joined their family a week prior, via a long-awaited adoption. Chet and Nicole have the most amazing hearts for family and for children. I was extra excited to meet Theo and document the newest member of their family!

Newborn sessions with an older sibling are always an extra fun challenge. We are working with the baby’s needs and preferences as well as their sibling’s! This means a lot of snuggles, games, and choices given to the older sibling. That way, they feel involved and enjoy the experience, too! Asher was so adorable during their session. He was clearly over the moon about his new brother. However, he was also a little unsure about holding him when he cried. Scroll to see the cuteness! We spent lots of time cuddling, kissing and holding Theo. Then, we went downstairs for a little play break with Asher before going outside for photos on their front porch!

About Newborn Photography

As a Minneapolis newborn photographer, I always prioritize getting photos of just baby, baby and mom, baby and dad, baby and siblings (when applicable), and then plenty of the whole family together. We always get some smiling at the camera of course, but my personal favorites are the candids of everyone just interacting together. Whether that’s smiling, giggling, snuggling or just soaking up the moment, newborn sessions are an amazing opportunity to take a pause in the midst of such a huge transition in your family’s life!
