Erin & Ben are one of those couples that you feel instantly welcomed by. They are both incredibly warm, genuine and kind! My kinda people! When Erin and Ben reached out to me, they mentioned that they wanted fun, vibrant photos of their Urban Daisy summer wedding that were bright and true to color. YES PLEASE! We were a match made in heaven!
Urban Daisy Minneapolis Wedding Venue
When I arrived, I fell in love with their unique wedding venue, Urban Daisy! Urban Daisy is a modern, all white wedding venue located on the edge of NE Minneapolis. With huge windows, white walls and touches of greenery, Urban Daisy was the perfect venue to showcase Erin and Ben’s bright, colorful flowers by Blossom Studio. The white brick and plentiful, large windows within Urban Daisy are a photographer’s dream – it creates such beautiful light that is flattering and brings so much energy!
After their first look, we hopped on a bus together to go take couple, bridal party and family portraits at the University of Minnesota campus. The campus is full of beautiful green backdrops as well as some timeless, simple architecture. I love how this location added the vibrant lush summer greens to their final gallery. For their ceremony, Blossom Studios created an absolutely stunning floral arch – colorful, whimsical and garden party-rsque! After Ben & Erin exchanged emotional and heartfelt vows, their guests joined them in the cocktail hour space for their reception!
Minneapolis Summer Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, the beautiful floral arch moved to frame the couple’s sweetheart table for the reception! I love when couples choose to do this – it’s a great way to make the most of a beautiful floral statement piece! Check out how stunning their reception photos are!! Also, how cute is their custom cake topper, featuring their pup?? Between the happy flowers and pastel colored tapered candles, this reception design by Ashley Skeie events was a dream come true.
After heartfelt speeches and golden hour portraits (how cute are they?!), Erin and Ben wowed us all with an epic first dance performance – and then the party began! The dance floor at Urban Daisy is especially unique – hanging greenery and lights highlight the energy of the dance floor! At last, Bluewater Kings kept the dance floor full throughout the night.
