Zak & Christine are one of those couples that I just wish I could clone – so gracious, down to earth, kind and FUN! Zak and I met several years ago when were in a mutual friend’s wedding party together & had a blast– when he and Christine got engaged, I was thrilled that he reached out about wedding photos! Jay and I even got to spend some extra time with them when we traveled to Dallas for their engagement session last February (about 2 weeks before the world shut down… little did we know!)
Zak & Christine had originally planned to have a traditional ceremony & reception at a local Minneapolis wedding venue, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed those plans! Christine and Zak decided to go ahead with their ceremony with their closest family & friends at Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church.
Christine began the day getting her hair and make-up done at LV Studios in St. Paul with her mom, sisters, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. LV Studios is a gorgeously styled studio that I always recommend for brides who want a getting ready spot with plenty of flattering natural light!
Zak & Christine had their wedding ceremony at the stunning Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. The ceremony was especially meaningful being surrounded by only their nearest and dearest during such a turbulent time in the world – I’m a firm believer that the pandemic helped all of us remember what is most important in life.
After sharing champagne and desserts at Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church, we all headed to CoV in Wayzata for a wonderful dinner & reception! We ended the night with taking sunset photos on the dock on Lake Minnetonka – the most magical way to end the night!
