Mary & Will’s summer maternity session is CHOCK FULL of joy, giggles, & snuggles (my faves!). It’s been a huge honor to photograph Mary & Will for the past several years – from their engagement session, to their wedding photos, extended family photos last fall, and now maternity photos! Mary & Will booked my First Year Baby Bundle so I get to capture their babe’s whole first year of life – from bump to 1st birthday! Baby Bundle includes maternity session, newborn session, 3 month, 6 month, and 1 year photos. It’s always wild to me how much babies change during their first year, so I’m so dang excited to photograph this next big season for their family!
We took this summer maternity session at a beautiful park in Wayzata – Mary opted to go barefoot for most of the session which I just LOVED! We had beautiful weather and got to enjoy the gardens and the shores of Lake Minnetonka. One thing I really love about Will & Mary’s maternity photos is how much JOY these two share – their connection is so evident, so sweet, and they constantly make each other laugh. It’s my favorite! Maternity photos are often so similar to engagement photos – of course we are focused on baby/bump but it’s really just capturing the couple’s relationship during this stage & their excitement and anticipation for what’s next – just like engagement photos!
We also lucked out with finding a perfect, private little dock spot for the last few minutes of sunset at the end of their session. The soft colors, calm waters and romantic vibe were a perfect way to tie up their summer maternity photo session.
