Prepare yourselves for the loveliest, most colorful St. Paul spring wedding! From the moment I first met with Greta and Adam I knew we were a perfect fit – their vision for a bright, colorful and HAPPY wedding day aesthetic made me giddy! In fact, I have to include a part of what they shared with me about how they wanted their wedding to feel:
“We are hoping for the wedding day to be more on the fun and bright side than the fancy side. We want people to think about our wedding and feel happy – hopefully they will reminisce on the people they saw and talked to. When I (Greta) look back at our wedding, or when I’m telling someone else about it, I’m hoping that I won’t be able to talk about it without smiling. I want to think about how much I love Adam, and how I was surrounded by friends and family the whole day. I think I see the decorations and flowers as playing a more supporting role to the people and feelings – beautiful flowers complement a day full of joy, so that the outside matches the inside. I (Adam) want to remember it more as a feeling than as true memory of events or things. I want to be able to tap into the spectrum of love synthesized from everyone coming together to celebrate Greta and I becoming family.”
How sweet is that!! It was seriously such a joy to capture this wedding day, so much love and joy coming from every angle.
The day began at their family’s church, Shepherd of the Valley. Both Greta and Adam got ready at the church, and then had their first look just outside the church, which happens to back up to gorgeous green fields and a forest. You would never guess where we are! These two are just the sweetest. They clearly just adore each other and they make my job SO flippin easy. Their crew of family and friends was also just a blast, and we got so many fun, joyful candids throughout the day!! After their very heartfelt and emotional ceremony and receiving line we all headed over to the Minnesota History Center for their reception! Working with their super talented vendor team of planner Adore Weds and florist Millerhouse Floral, their vision was brought to life and I couldn’t keep myself from snapping a million photos allll day long of their vibrant reception decor. The light blue tablecloths perfectly set off their whimsical, colorful flowers. The reception space at the Minnesota History Center is so unique, you are surrounded by windows with views of Downtown St. Paul and the Cathedral. A perfectly romantic scene! Greta and Adam, I am so happy you two found each other & I just know you’re going to have the best marriage. Enjoy married life!!
