This maternity session is especially close to my heart! Samantha and I have known each other since elementary school, were best friends throughout high school and college, have gotten to be part of each other’s weddings and now I have the joy of photographing her becoming a mama! Samantha got the privilege of seeing me at the beginning of my love of photography when I was photographing flowers and making my friends model for me (oh boy đ ). It’s surreal to watch one of your oldest friends about to welcome a baby girl!
For Samantha and Kegan’s spring maternity session, we had to get a little creative since it isn’t really spring here yet in Minnesota! This beautiful little grove of pine trees in Prior Lake was the perfect background for their maternity session – we got a little green, the sun was out for some truly beautiful light, and we were protected from the chilly wind! Samantha’s white dress was the perfect choice for this spot – you really can never go wrong with a flowy neutral dress like this! I always take time to scout out a great location for my clients, dependent on the season, time of day, location they’re envisioning and what they want their photos to look and feel like. I love how these turned out AND I can’t wait for “real” spring to get here soon đ
