Welcome to the world little Navy! This newborn session was especially close to my heart because Navy’s parents, Will and Mary, are one of my wedding couples from a few years ago! It’s my favorite thing in the world to be more than a wedding photographer, but to build a relationship with my couples and capture all their next milestones, too!
Photographing newborn sessions is sacred… especially with first time parents. Being invited into such a fresh time full of wonder, tears, steep learning curves and so much snuggles is so special! Navy did not want to sit still for long, so we moved around to a few spots in their apartment, and mom and dad rocked her alot. I never want parents to be worried about baby not “cooperating” for your session — like I always say, baby is the boss! 😉 I expect newborns to need a feed during our session, to be a little fussy, and to prefer to be held rather than on their own. I am totally comfortable with trying different things until we get into a natural spot where baby is content. It’s 1000% normal and just part of this season of life that we are documenting 🙂 Will and Mary’s apartment had plenty of natural light which allowed us to get almost a studio feel to some of their photos. Enjoy looking through this adorable session!
