My goal is to hand you photos that are beautiful AND give you all the feels. We'll absolutely capture some classic "every one smile at the camera" photos at our session, and then we'll spend the rest of our time just capturing your family in your most genuine state - the cuddles, the tickles, the exploring, the busy toddlers -- you're encouraged to set aside expectations and trust me to capture you in your most important role yet - the way you brush your kiddo's hair off their face, the way the giggle at dad's jokes, the way they cuddle into your chest when they're getting tired.
My approach
Family photos don't have to be stressful. Here's how:
After your session, you will receive your full gallery of 100+ edited images within 2 weeks. From there, you can easily download, share and print to your heart's delight. Your gallery is connected to a professional print shop that you can order directly to your doorstep. Prepare to fill your walls 😍
Fill out the contact form to get in touch & book your session on my calendar. My booking process is super easy and straightforward. You've got a lot to manage, let's make this simple!
Once you are booked, you'll receive my super helpful Family Session Guide. This includes location recommendations, how to choose photogenic outfits for the whole family (from your own closet or if you feel like shopping) and tips and tricks to help your whole family have a great experience.
It's session day! You'll arrive fully prepped (thanks to all the advice in the session guide) and ready to go, and then it's time to HAVE FUN! Let me relieve some stress - I fully expect your kids to act like kids (!!) - do not worry about if they have a hard time sitting still. We work WITH their energy to capture photos that are joyful and true to this season of childhood. Your only job is to have fun with your family, and let me take care of the rest.

I have a bunch of outdoor locations around the Twin Cities/suburbs that I LOVE to photograph at! When you book your session, you will receive a Family Session Guide, which includes my favorite locations + corresponding photo galleries. All locations are within 30 minutes of the Twin Cities.
My family sessions are up to one hour - but dont' worry, this isn't an hour of standing still and smiling at the camera! We will move a lot, play, laugh, cuddle, explore. I don't expect your kids (toddlers especially) to last an hour sitting still - but most have a blast spending time with you for that duration! You'll receive lot of helpful tips from me on how to have the best session.
Yes - you will receive all of the edited, digital files in your gallery! These images can be shared on social media, sent to grandparents, printed and downloaded as many times as you'd like. There isn't an additional cost for digital files for full family sessions (mini sessions include 20). You are also able to print high quality images directly through your gallery and support your photographer (me!) with your purchase!
YES PLEASE! I am a proud #dogmom and know what an important part of your family your dog is. I am very comfortable with managing photographing doggos + kiddos. That being said, I DO recommend having a "handler" (grandparent, sibling, neighbor) come to pick your pup up after about 15 minutes of our session. We will have gotten what we need with your pup in that time frame, and then we can have one less thing to worry about!
